We've had quite a few customers looking for Sea Wench Naturals body products so we just had to try them. We love these body products! Sea Wench Naturals uses wild and organically grown plants (from one of the most stunning gardens in Clayoquot Sound) to create soap, shampoo, body oils, body washes, mens shaving soap and after shave, face cream, sunscreen and more. TRASH ART CHALLENGE!

The Comox Valley Arts Council is putting on a charity fundraiser & fun-raiser that challenges local artists to join together and create masks make entirely of recycled materials- we want you to participate- The Green Room is going to submit a mask and we're looking forward to seeing all the creative submissions at the show.

Santa's Workshop in Need of Your Help!

You may have heard that due to the flooding in the past couple of weeks, Santa's Workshop lost hundreds of toys and stuffed animals that were meant for children in the Valley. The Green Room, along with other local businesses are setting up drop boxes for gently used or new toys.

No Waste Challenge!

Like us you probably recycle and maybe even compost so what's left and what's getting thrown away? We want to know and want you to join us in our No Waste Challenge starting on October 1st-October 31st!

It's simple, you keep a daily log of what you didn't throw away that normally would have gone in the wastebasket. In this log, let us know what you did with the item and how you kept it out of our landfills.

We would love to see pictures of your trash to treasure creations and you can e-mail these to us at info@greenrooominteriors.com We will feature them on our blog to get everyone inspired.

Drop off your log book at The Green Room after the challenge (no later than November 7th)and we will choose the most ingenious idea- the winner will receive a gift basket full of eco goodies!

Bamboo charcoal which has been used for over five centuries in Asia has made it's way to The Green Room. Produced from the moso bamboo plant, bamboo charcoal effectively absorbs odors, moisture and polluted air particles such as formaldehyde, ammonia and benzene. Due to the nature of the moso bamboo plant which has millions of tiny holes, bamboo charcoal also acts as a dehumidifier by absorbing excessive moisture effective. We're all settled in to our new space on the corner of 4th and Cliffe Ave. (right beside Brambles) and we love it! If you haven't been yet to see us, here's a little update on some of the new products we have brought in:

Envirosax:

Lightweight polyester, portable, waterproof, and weighing just 1.4oz each, these groovy bags are available individually or as a series of 5 contained within a handy pouch. With reinforced seams, each surprisingly large bag can hold a weight the equivalent of two supermarket plastic bags! We have a great selection of different prints to suit all tastes.

We also have deliciously scented Simplicity Soy Candles in a variety of scents. These soy candles burn longer, cooler and cleaner than paraffin wax, are water soluble which makes for easy clean up and are scented with essential oils.

Come check out our beautiful handmade bed made in Victoria out of salvaged logs. We are now doing custom orders for our Canadian made Sueno mattresses and mattress toppers made of natural rubber and wool. We also carry a a selection of hypoallergenic organic pillows, organic cotton and bamboo blankets, organic cotton sheets and bamboo duvets.

The Green Room is moving shop- we're leaving the lovely gals at Eco-Centric and moving to 4th St. right beside Brambles Market. We are super excited because we will have our own space and a big window to showcase our unique products!
